Hi there! My name is Damien, I'm a Graphic and Digital designer and Illustrator from Melbourne.

I’m a multidisciplinary Graphic and Digital Designer with a broad technical foundation and a passion for creating purposeful, outcome-driven design. My career has evolved through wearing many hats under the “designer” label, spanning illustration, animation, motion graphics, branding, typography, layout design, video editing, coding, web design, and 3D modelling. This versatility allows me to approach every project with both creative vision and technical precision.

I am highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Clip Studio Paint, Maya, Blender, and Unity, enabling me to deliver integrated visual, interactive, and multimedia solutions across print, digital, and immersive platforms. Comfortable across both Mac and Windows environments, I also work fluidly with professional drawing displays and styluses to support high-level creative execution.

Beyond design production, I bring extensive experience in educational content development and instructional design, shaped significantly by my background as a former Flight Instructor. In aviation, I developed company briefs, authored structured syllabi, and delivered both classroom-based theory and in-flight practical training. This experience sharpened my ability to translate complex information into clear, structured, and engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences.

My instructional design approach is grounded in established frameworks such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) and Principles & Methods of Instruction (PMI), ensuring that learning solutions are strategic, learner-centred, and aligned with measurable outcomes. I also hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, further strengthening my ability to design, deliver, and assess high-quality educational experiences.

I am highly familiar with Learning Management Systems including Canvas and Moodle, and proficient in the Articulate 360 suite (Storyline, Rise, and Review). As a Digital Designer / Multimedia Specialist, I have developed and deployed interactive learning content within custom organisational LMS environments, ensuring functionality, accessibility, and engagement. I regularly collaborate with subject-matter experts, writers, educators, and academic stakeholders to transform complex ideas into structured, visually compelling, and pedagogically sound digital learning experiences.

Earlier in my career, I developed strong commercial acumen through technology sales at Officeworks Epping, where I consistently exceeded targets and delivered high-quality customer service. In 2021, I achieved the national record for highest sales of Extra Cover and Product Insurance across Australia, a result of strong product knowledge, consultative selling, and a genuine ability to build customer trust. I also gained hands-on print production experience as part of the Print & Copy team, operating large-format printers, binding equipment, and finishing tools to deliver professional production outcomes.

At the core of my practice is a balance between creativity and structure, combining strategic thinking, technical capability, educational insight, and commercial awareness to deliver work that is thoughtful, functional, and impactful.
